Candy Hattingh has lived and worked in Galveston since 2009. She has spent time in varied sectors and within very different communities within Galveston. She has managed two law offices, managed a bail bond company, cofounded an organization focused on offender education and created a successful child abuse prevention program to empower children and adults who work with children.

Candy wrote and taught curriculum for Anger Management, theft intervention, drug and alcohol awareness, Youth Offender Intervention and was a licensed instructor and program administrator for the State of Texas Drug Offender Education Program. All giving her the opportunity to work with different organizations in Galveston professionally, personally, through Board service or through volunteering.

Candy is currently also the Field Market Manager for Galveston’s Own Farmers Market. She is a community advocate is honored to be a local. When she is not busy with work you can find her hanging out with her two children, camping, going to the beach, painting, planting something and praying it lives or attending community events! She is a true believer that together we can do more and we must do more!
