What is PhilanthroVision Galveston?

PhilanthroVision Galveston (PVG) is Vision Galveston's signature community program, designed to strengthen local nonprofits through education, mentorship, funding, and community connections.

More than a pitch event, PVG equips participating organizations with practical tools and lasting relationships that help them grow long after Pitch Night. Finalists participate in a series of educational workshops, receive one-on-one coaching, and build meaningful connections with community leaders, mentors, funders, and fellow nonprofit organizations.

The program culminates in a live community showcase where finalists share their vision and compete for funding to help bring their projects to life.

Since its launch, PhilanthroVision Galveston has awarded more than $400,000 to local organizations through the generous support of community partners.

Now celebrating its 5th anniversary, PhilanthroVision Galveston continues to invest in the people and organizations working every day to make Galveston stronger, healthier, and more connected.

FAQ

I just applied for my 501(c)(3) status. Can I still apply?

Yes. Please apply. If you are selected as a finalist, your nonprofit designation and document status must be established by September 17, 2026.

Am I required to attend all of the workshops?

Yes. The workshops, mentorship, and guidance are a core part of the PVG experience and designed to support your organization’s success. Attendance is mandatory.

What happens if I miss a workshop or miss a deadline as part of the PhilanthroVision Galveston program?

Missing workshops or deadlines may impact your eligibility to continue in the program or participate in the final live presentation at The Grand 1894 Opera House. If challenges arise, we encourage participants to communicate with the PVG team as early as possible.

Am I required to pitch on stage on November 12, 2026?

Yes. Finalists selected for the program are required to participate in the live pitch event at The Grand 1894 Opera House. The training and coaching workshops will provide the guidance and support for success!
